SPIRITUALISM has a great effect and importance in day-to-day life of the human beings. It automatically prevents he man from doing bad deeds and undertaking noble jobs, on account of the preaching's received during discourses. Spiritualism can be practiced with sound health and sound mind, by having proper control on the diet. All these things are inter-connected and inter-dependent. Therefore one should not keep on postponing practicing spiritualism and wait for the old age, as life is short and uncertain. If one starts taking interest in other's welfare, and reduces his expectations by believing in the saying of Mahatma Gandhi that There is enough in the world for man's needs, but no enough for man's greed's, there is no difficulty in practicing Spiritualism and ultimately succeeding in his mission.

According to the Science, human body appeared on earth more than 5 million years ago. It is the greatest wonder. It is surprising to find out which machine or the present machine-.age is not placed in our body by the Creator. All these delicate but strong machines work non-stop for hundred or even more years. So it is pounding duty of the human being to thank the Creator irrespective of the fact that the human being belongs to which caste, color and creed. So importance of Spiritualism is fully established and recognized.

Spirituality is the sister of Science. It gives to science the gifts of Ethical Values and Peace of Mind. It also gives a world-view and a unique belief-system. Together Science and Spirituality can make the world much better by teaching scientific laws and spiritual love and cooperation. There is a need to know science of living so as to avoid trauma, and for this study of consciousness, the self or the Spiritual laws, related to It is necessary. We can neglect them and have mental tension. We can win a noble prize in life but the notable prize in life is constant and deep peace and bliss, and life without this is nothing but slow suicide. One may know all sciences, but one may be a failure in life, if he does not have the knowledge which leads to self-fulfillment and to the ultimate goal. In modern times, science has brought progress and wealth in the society, but failed to bring faith and harmony to the mankind. We live in the unsecured world and facing the challenge' of destructive weapons and atomic terror. We are becoming more and more slaves of science and forgetting basic human values which are cultivated by our scriptures like Vedas, Upnishads, Darshans, Gita, Ramayana and various other sacred books of the world.

The eminent American historian Will Durant proudly calls India-Mother of us All, who is the mother of civilization. 'Manu', the divine India social scientist laid down ten principles of Dharma, i.e. world religion- to have perseverance, to pardon, to have mercy, not to steal, purity, to control the sensuality, education with wisdom, to speak truth, to avoid anger. These are the universal requirements of the world community without consideration of any nationality, race, caste or class of people. Swami Vivekananda, the prophet of modem age, has said, the mind should always go towards God. Though this is a very hard task; yet it can be done by constant practice. Our mind when it is under our control, is our friend, but when it has control over us, it is our enemy. Main difference between men and the animals is that the men have their power of concentration. The secret of religion lies not in theories, but in practice, though slowly. The tortoise is a slow-moving animal, which is most vulnerable to enemy attack. yet God has provided it with protective armour.

It is often alleged that good people generally feel so unconcerned or detached that they hardly bother about the world. They wish to live in their cocoons and too individualistic. They seem to forget that the world cannot become better if good people with a vision and will do not make concerted effort.

In view of the present circumstances in the world when humanity is going away from spiritualism resulting in complete disbelief all over, and growing violence and chaos, there is need for establishing harmony and brotherhood through the united efforts of all men of different faith in the world. Dishonesty, corruption and pollution in politics throughout the world needs eradication immediately, and a change of direction of the "Communalized and commercialized society" through transformation of individuals and inculcation of values and ushering in a just social order, honest governance and value-based life has to be made, through spiritualism as an ounce of practice is better than tons of theory.

This has made me believe more and more as a result of my recent extensive tour to Europe.
