A Volkswagen Passat car sporting signatures of captains of the 10 IPL teams has fetched a record over Rs 30 lakh in a charity auction that would benefit WWF India. It is Passat Highline in Cashmere Brown colour featuring the autograph of all the teams captains on the bonnet.

The signature German luxury car has been snapped up by Bangalore cricket enthusiast Saidas Malladi whose winning bid of Rs 30.13 lakh topped a total of 26 bids from across India in the auction. Mr. Saidas was also awarded with a cricket bat, which was specially autographed by captains of all T20 cricket teams. This auction lasted for 10 whole days and ended on May 10th 2011 and was routed through the IPL official website to eBay for the transaction.

The highest bidder Saidas Malladi will be called to one of the DLF IPL Play-off matches and will be handed over the Captain Signed Passat's key. And WWF India will be given the cheque of the highest proceeds.
